I grew up in Oregon and eventually moved to New York City where I lived for 15 years before happily heading back west to Los Angeles. I have always been passionate about children's books both old and new, and love drawing, characters, illustration and all the little details involved. My influences are illustrators like Saul Steinberg, William Steig, Carson Ellis, André François, along with folk and outsider arts. When not drawing I love traveling with my dog and reading lengthy fiction.
